As you can see the indicative events to look forward to are: 1) the ASX disclosures and reports, 2) the September ANZ Carbon Capture, utilisation and storage forum, 3) then from October onwards the focus will be on when the Federal election is going to be held. If I was making the decision, I would say it is impossible to hold it whilst the lockdowns are in place. 70-80% vaccination should happen around December/January. Then the election can be announced February for a possible April/May 2022 Federal Election. Keith Pitt may choose to approve the permit 1-3weeks before the election day. To give Labor the tremendous political football that is the "real" renewal, where the permit is not "extended" but actually "renewed" (or potentially upgraded to a extraction/production permit if they hit gas).
