I think this is a good idea. Grand parents can elect to babysit or not. It's not compulsory. A lot of retired people just enjoy looking after grand kids anyway. This is a win-win to young families and grand parents, of cause bad to business like G8.
From the 9news link poll it appears this idea is dominantly popular.
