What a load of nonsense.
I disagree that the BOD will reduce dividends at the first sniff of IO prices falling.
We only need to look at history and see that is not true.
Looking at history, 2018 . . . net profit was just 77 million, yet the BOD declared 23 million in dividends . . . that is 30% of net profit . . . well above their dividend policy of up to 25% of FCF.
Sure, back in the height of the covid crisis in March 2019 the SP was 16 cents . . . but that was not a case of no one wanting it. The whole market was down. Grange fell a lot less than most in the covid crisis of March 2019 due to very solid fundamentals. GRR was also one of the fastest to recover to pre covid levels. There are many blue chips that still have not recovered to pre-covid levels.
