IMO it's due to two factors:
1. Impatience
2. The very high opportunity cost of investing in MNM given the bare minimum of detail released by the company in recent times (which leads to #1)
I would think IK would have been incentivised to get his performance options in the money. Not going to happen this year either. There's 2 million shares he has foregone in the last 2 years. A simple change in the way, and extent to which, communication is handled may have changed that.
Will it ever improve? Will there ever be a desire to provide support to the share price?
I just don't know.
