If a coal explorer finds a HUGE coal discovery, how long do you think it takes from time of discovery to production in Australia?

I heard or read something a while back and I am pretty sure it said that many years ago this timeline was about 2 years and these days it more like 5-10 years?

Anyone got some accurate factual number BECAUSE I don't think 2018 is a long time. Seems normal IMO..

-lets be happy we have the only know resource this size so close to Infurstructure.
-lets be happy that the coal at BM has already been used in previous demo's
lets be happy we have several more projects including gold/silver news anyday and the forgotten mt Mulligan
