I linked a media story on that decision by ATCO to pursue a green hydrogen development closer to ‘heavy industry’ rather than taking up the ARENA grant specific to a location that was determined to be too far away to be voable

“The Canadian player said on Wednesday it had made the decision not to proceed with the project following talks with ARENA and other stakeholders involved in the facility.
“ATCO still intends to explore a commercial hydrogen facility however believes it is more feasible to identify opportunities closer to heavy industry where demand will justify the investment,” the company said in a statement.
I didn’t know AVL had an MOU with ATCO

…….I wonder if that 202o MOU means AVL is one of the ‘stakeholders’ who supported the decision to relocate the proposed facility?
And, drawing a longer bow, I also wonder if Australian Vanadium may have a ‘secret’ green hydrogen ‘weapon’ in the shape of Primero Group (its’ close engineering associate at which AVL CEO, Graham Arvidson, previously worked).
- I follow the public company which owns Primero, and have noted repeated mentions of green hydrogen from the CEO over several months, and also seen multiple Seek ads for people to work on Primero’s green hydrogen and carbon capture projects.
