re: can hc affect the market? To IS THIS IT....

I once a got a call a few years back from someone at ASIC investigating comments I made about a couple of stocks.
At the time, I was fairly childish (id like to think ive improved) and posted some comments indicating I had sensitive information re VTI, APG and something else (cant remember). Back then, you could put phone numbers on posts. I put a mates mobile number down. That was on a friday, we went to Sydney that weekend for the footy, he got about 50-70 calls over the weekend asking about what he knew from HC memebers. I then got a call from (cant remember the blokes name) ASIC asking me to explain.
I hung up and never posted something similar to that again.

I also had problems with a man that used to post about APG. I found out his real identity and thought it was very inappropriate for him to be posting the way he did on APG (ramping). I posted his real identity and promptly received threats of legal action via email from him. I wasnt sure if they were serious, but they seemed so. I moved to resolve the issue quickly.

So you do you have to be careful sometimes.
