Prime1, I'm happy to say that for once you are wrong.
I've been following the development of graphene nano-platelets and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) quite closely. Almost every day there is something new to read. There is a very large number of patents on these and many potential applications. Just one supercapacitor made from rGO could use many kilos, depending on its purpose. Then there are composites, new types of catalysts, rGO paper, filters for water purification, fire retardant graphite foam, etc, etc. I can see a minimum of 200,000 tonnes required in 2 to 3 years time just for these applications and the potential for millions of tonnes by 2020 if a couple of applications really take off.
