    Nice post Croc-File!

Simon Moores, now predicts that there are in fact 72 battery megafactories in the pipeline!

"Talk I gave in March 2018 in London: 25 lithium ion battery megafactories in the pipeline.Same talk March 2019: 72 lithium ion battery megafactories in the pipeline. Well over $100bn sunk. Raw materials investment is well behind!"

GreatTwitter site, interesting that he sorts battery producers into 3 tiers, which I had not read about before. The tiers relate to the quality andproduction volume of the companies' abilities to produce lithium ion batteries. The higher the tier, the higher the quality and volume production of thebatteries produced. Tier 1 companies produce the best quality batteries and inhigh volume. Their batteries are the most desirable and the most sortafter, by the ev industry!

Funny, I was researching Benchmark's predictions for the expected batterydemand in 2028 just yesterday, and low and behold, your comprehensive post hascome through, including similar research!

The demand for high quality batteries will become massive from 2023 onwards. And Benchmark's figures change often as new megafactories get planned. But whatdoes this all mean for the Graphite miners and Volt?

Syrah mined and shipped 37,000t of Graphite in the Dec. 2018 quarter! But itscost of production was greater than its returns. It lost $23m in thatquarter! Their sp has gone from a high of $6.50 a while ago, to just$1.05 now!

Volt's Phase 1 mining will produce just 23,700t of Graphite, which less thanSYR produced in that Dec. quarter! So it depends on the actualprice per tonne of Graphite that Volt can secure, to determine if Phase 1 willin fact be profitable?

WKT has had an excellent valuation of 64c from an independent research company. However, it also needs to find the funding for the mine to go ahead. Based onthat report WKT appears less risk than VRC at this stage? If they cansecure the funding then their sp will go through the roof! But then again, sowill Volt's sp, if it can secure funding as well!

Volt has a high cash burn rate. It needs to secure the funding ASAP. The pricethat they realistically can get for their Graphite will be of interest. The waiting game for Volt holders continues! There are many questions still tobe answered and the stock remains high risk.

Good luck with your WKT investment. Your enthusiasm for the stock iscommendable. "Seriously though any buying under 20 cents is abargain!"

Alas, we VRC holders continue to wait for some good news! Hope it isn't too long in coming!

    Cheers

Tiered Rating of Battery Producers. Then higher the tier the higher the quality and the higher the volume of the batteries produced.
