All just talk by silicon researchers to obtain funding. Big corps would have done that years ago, they have billions for R&D but cost to performance ratio seems quite off. And there is no 100% silicon anode, it's always a Carbon silicon blend with the overwhelming part being carbon. I read about that so called "battery revolution" all over the internet, mentioning Sila Nanotech and XNRGI yet they have nothing to show and keep saying their product might be available 2025 or so, and they lie saying it's an silicon anode when it actually isn't. Graphite is safe and cheap and is used as anode material for almost 30 years. They don't even use pure silicon in anodes these days, it's silicon oxide because lower expansion. Silicon taking 6 Lithium atoms is pure theory, reality shows batteries bursting and reality shows measures to prevent bursting comes down to commercial slogans being bullshit, meaning nowhere near promised performance.
