It'd be interesting to know which companies are NOT overvalued ,graphite. The 5%.
and which companies fall into the 10% that "understand the real natural graphite market and how difficult it is to make a profit in"
As this thread has been moved from the MNS thread to the Graphite Section it is allowed here to name such companies even if they are TSE or even Private and not ASX.
I've been making a bit of a study in Market Cap comparisons across the "Global Sector". Always been struck by the difference between ASX ans TSE ones at a comparable stage and break down of grade and flake, yet the Market Caps were 10's of Million$$ apart ASX side.
Of course the ASX has SYRAH Market Cap even now at $500mil++ and claimed to be Under Valued at that!! Largest TSE I saw was ZEN at $100mil since fallen for top Market Cap.
I tried to get Market Caps for Asburys , Imerys and Superior but as private companies info on Market Cap was "thin" at least to my 'research' skills. I was able to get a figure of approx $200mil for AMG which owns and operates graphite mines in a vertical 'system' method BUT AMG are involved with other " speciality materials' than graphite so the $200m Market Cap could only 'guide'- A Producing New Graphite Mine of under say 50 kts could only expect maybe a $120mil Market Cap. Sobering, hey?
So now graphite you come out with this post and I think you are making the point that only those companies with a EV Battery graphite supply contract should contemplate being able to open a mine. I'm not clear as to whether this applies to even Under 25kts proposals or to only ones going for more than 25kts, in your opinion.
Further to me you seem to believe that the only Demand available to be filled by new mines is for EV L-ion Batteries when I always thought from back in 2011/12 that new mines were also going for Import Replacement in traditional uses by industries in US/Euro/Japan and Sth Korea [I call them the Barbarians].
Import Replacement instead of from China [ the Dragon] so that the Rare Earth situation didn't develop in Graphite, a declared Critical Material.
Are you saying "graphite" that Import Replacement is now off the table/ agenda?
What have the Big Graphite Traders of over 100 years got that covered ? but not so much the EV market?
I hope you return to discuss the Graphite Market with us, graphite. We, the regular posters in this thread call ourselves Siberians because our posts in single Company threads got TOU'd/ Moderated when comparisons got deemed 'cross promotion', downramping whatever so really if you want to rip apart the Graphite Industry for over valued and not knowing the REAL graphite 'scene' this Siberia is the place to do it or rather debate it.
