And then there is charcoal.
The very simple process of producing charcoal from forest 'slash' for example followed by crushing and spreading on to farmland improves the soil and sequesters the carbon for 40,000 years. Even spread on the forest site before replanting would help and carbon credits gained.
No benefit for Hazer unfortunately.
