An interesting insight into Hazer graphite and batteries.
Professor Yuan Chen from the University of Sydney has just been awarded an Australian Research Council (ARC) fellowship for work to functionalise Hazer graphite. The UoS announcement is here.Getting to the point, according to the ARC grant website (with edits):
This Mid-Career Industry Fellowship will enable the development of new technologies to make onion-like carbon structures with graphitic carbon shells ... The purified carbon products will make fast-charging lithium-ion batteries and new sodium-ion batteries.
