Graphite prices are certainly on the rise in Europe and China. For QTR end 31/3/2022 I was expecting higher prices. Makes one wonder is Mr Verner had entered into some fixed contracts at lower prices.
if so, another mistake in this guy's watch. He also said many years ago that they would get a better overall price per tonne by producing 30% of their production in flake size and 70% fines (as compared to the previous 80:20 split.
yet, Verner never got anywhere near this target.
hmmm. Based on new spot prices, they should be getting us$650 to $700 a tonne in the QTR end June 2022. I really hope this gets taken over in the next 6 months by a bigger player. $3.00 to $3.50 may be a possible price
