you both are correct, buying the dip or buying the breakout are both valid strategies, the point with buying the breakout is that it is showing signs of strength and once it pushes through it probably has more legs to go, buying the dip on the other hand is more like accumulation and wait. so yeah it really depends on your strategy, cash on hand and risk level, I don't see why you two are questioning each others strategy.
