Do you and @iTNiNJA really believe that anode producers won't buy significantly cheaper graphite from China because China bad?
Yeah, producers would love a varying selection of countries to purchase from, in the end they will buy the most affordable product that they can get away with.
ESG is corporate virtue signalling and basing an investment decision on the possibility it matters some time in the future is pure hopium.
The IRA is an American policy for American Battery factories and American car makers culminating in a tax break for American people purchasing a new American made car.
It's a big planet we live on and it would be remiss to think that all the world's batteries for all the worlds cars will be built in America.
With regards to the IRA 10% mining credit, from my understanding it will only apply to minerals sent to America or one of its FTA partners to on process for batteries destined for America.
So if the product is sold anywhere else other than America its not applicable.
What if China is producing SG/NG for 20%+ cheaper? I bet the market will pretend it's not happening
