Hi Greenende, yes, to me it's clear the ultimate goal is to use the recovered carbon anode material from the black mass back into batteries.
From pg21 of battery day presentation they appear to make a generic statement that implies it does retain its shape, whereas Spid seems to think it doesnt and video by Chris Reed of NMT also seems to indicate that the output from their hydrometallurgy process doesnt retain spherical shape. That's why I found Chris Reeds comments interesting.
Of course if it doesn't retain shape then this would mean it likely needs to be re-shaped before being re-used in a battery.
