some of the ads on DR are a bit hysterical - but there are very strong reasons why the US housing market COULD be in real trouble.
the japan experience (popping of an asset bubble) is to be avoided at all costs - that is why rates in the US are STILL 1%
BTW debt levels are higher in OZ and average house is 9.6 times average income
reckon it couldnt happen here??
