Hi Members, after watching the actions for a while, management have agreed to make the first changes to GA.
At some stage later today or tomorrow, as soon as the techs manage to find a window, they push live the new update where each member only gets 3 Great Analysis awards each day to give out if they wish.
The Great Analysis is only on threads using a stock code, so is not going to be valid for humour, politics, day trading or some of the other forums.
This will ensure that the posts are chosen a lot more responsibly, and not used for ramping a stock, or pushing any flame wars. (example)
You will get a countdown after each one you award, so you know what you've got left for the day.
As I understand it, the current counts will be turned to zero so that all members are starting with a level playing field and awards should only be made for posts that do contain genuinely great analysis, which doesn't including simply pasting an article, or an ASX announcement, but doing some more analysis, technical or fundamental.
