I think it mainly destroys their argument that they were always owned the stock and were not aware that Opes were going around saying the clients were the beneficial owners. By this action they are confirming that they believed that as well...so maybe they came to this conclusion by reading all the Opes material stating beneficial ownership was with the client...therefore destroying any argument ANZ were not aware of statements being made to clients
