I think you will find it is DCNS that are building the subs.

EDF are more known for building nuclear and coal fired power plants, wind farms, etc.

DCNS were contracted by EDF to build and deploy the plastic Ceto 4 buoy that failed at Reunion Island. That is something they have kept fairly quiet for obvious reasons. I hope our subs are better built.
