So what if it is high risk? Shareholders here are obviously chasing the high returns that high risk is associated with. You can as easily point to the fact that with the ML, shareholders here are on a multi-multibag.
Additionally, I believe even if the ML is not granted at this occasion, the share price will not go to zero as you suggest. Clearly as other posters have pointed out, this project is worth a lot to Greenland and so even if democracy happens to swing the wrong way at this occasion, future Greenlandic governments will almost certainly wish for this project to proceed.
Hence I see this stock as providing a limited downside with blue sky potential upside, and I believe most shareholders do as well. Just because you cannot stomach the high risk, does not mean others cannot.
