And further to your later post - coral can't establish at increased depths, not enough sunlight penetration.
@tbirdsrgo mate I did read the article, it's obvious that you havn't. It clearly indicates that the cover increase is related to ONE species of coral. The source does not indicate "more to discuss".
@310843B mate sounds like you just don't like uni researchers, that's your issue. The fishermen are fishing, they're not collecting data on the health of the ecosystem. They are catching fish. see ya mate
