I think WBA will likely be a good investment over the next 10 years, however I think the management of SHV at this stage has a better track record of producing value for shareholders than WBA.
That said, I feel both SHV and WBA are companies that are hitting a bit of a goldilocks period (decent yields, rising but prices and a falling AUD) and I feel that in the years to come Australia's focus will turn from our recent infatuation with property, banks and iron ore mines back to agriculture, tourism and gold mining (the forgotten backbones of our nation's economy).
So I'll be watching WBA keenly over the next 6 - 12 months to see what management's plans and expectations are (a lot has happened in the last 12 months and I think it's best to wait for the dust to settle before beginning to accumulate).
