Flooding forces closure of Tanami Road
The main road from Alice Springs to the Kimberley region in Western Australia is closed because of flooding.

The Tanami Road is shut from The Granites Mine through to the WA border.

The Tanami region has had extensive rain recently because of a monsoon low in the area.

The Department of Planning and Infrastructure expects the road to be closed for several weeks.

Well, Denis did say work would recommence AFTER the wet season.
