There was a time there (well documented on rxl somewhere) that it was thought (by me as well) that the current plant, mine etc at Youanmi could have been repaired/updated for $20/25 million bucks which would have been pretty cool, but I think time has shown that the plant is too far gone and th jv will need i dont know, 40,50,60 million, maybe more to get production up and rolling once again, so rxl will need to come up with this money.

If this raise is just a normal piddly 3 mill or whatever then it really does nothing but if its like 20 mill or more then its a statement of intent and could really actually get things going with rxl. cap raises arent always a bad thing, that gold is very high grade after all....

As much as rxl would want 100% of youanmi i cant see how rxl could come up with the dosh on top of what they need to spend up front on the plant, and I just dont think a scrip deal would be very attractive to vmc shareholders unless it was at a big premium, bearing in mind that i dont think relationships between the jv partners are that good....

i mean what would you accept as a scrip offer from rxl?? at current sghare prices I wouldnt accept 0.75 rxl for 1 vmc but I would be tempted at say 0.85 rxl for one vmc (about 35 cents)
