They want two people with weather associated skills a reporter and a producer to service rural areas.
They need people to produce programming in rural areas.
In the cities they already have access to BOM staff. I listen to the radio a lot and they cross to the duty forecaster for weather updates. For on camera work I suppose they could train someone up to do the reports from BOM but the ABC has already been asked to move away from being too citycentric, especially Sydneycentric.
