I believe that a film can be defined by one scene. Perhaps it’s the dialogue or the acting, but I feel that a great cinematic moment can change a movie into a piece of art that truly resonates with the viewer. As for the scenes I find great, here are a few:
Blade Runner: when the final replicant is dying, and he still spares Deckhard’s life. This shows the philosophical side of the film
Casablanca: La Marseillaise scene. Just watched it again when was working on the project for https://writinguniverse.com/synthesis-essay-topics/ The tears in Yvonne's eyes... chills every time. Her “Vive la France!” is so impassioned and uninhibited. You really feel like you’ve just borne witness to an actual historical event.
The Return of the King: Theoden’s speech to fire up the Rohirrim, concluding with the death
Black Swan: the opening / closing scenes of the swan lake act, with the symphony playing in the background
