The fact that for Espadon a deviated well will be drilled (as I understand it) to bypass the area containing the gas - this conjures up all sorts of ghastly scenarios if there was a gas blow out that could not be controlled. (eg away from the drill hole and its BOP/ mud etc.) Having regard to Boyles Law (pressure-volume) what would happen if a giant gas plume, expanding as it rose to the surface, enveloped the drill ship ? The ship wont float on gas !!!! Shows my wealth of ignorance I know - but I would like one of our knowledgable posters to enlighten this feeble brain. Westmoon
