Great move TEG

This is a great TEG move. Prior to this it was only its GAS holding that made TEG appealing and while GAS looks good the downside was timing, the actual resource size and its value as a producer or take over target which is all still speculative. Was it worth hanging onto TEG? Until this move I was waiting until next year to assess GAS reporting and macro events such as Covid, US election, Aust Gov policy support and the gas industry generally. Now we have Covid (vaccine) and the US (almost) ticked and TEG has managed to begin a transition strategy which will most importantly take CH decommissioning off the table for a long long time. The visionary aspect of copying what they are doing in Europe and the UK by utilising existing fossil fuel infrastructure for renewable energy generation is just simply smart and an example of smart deal making. It will slowly (perhaps quickly) re-position TEG as a modern company not just a conventional one. It gives TEG a future that it just didn't have before and now so many more options. So, well done TEG. Timing and funding are still issues but it makes it a much more interesting investment. I am a large holder and luckily have no need to sell as my other renewable energy related investments are doing very well. So now TEG is moving that way (albeit slowly) has given me comfort that TEG management is not just sitting on its hands waiting for GAS. I will continue to hold and watch with interest. The opportunity as a power generator in WA is real. I would expect that WA and Fed gov support may also be on the horizon.
