Why has the turnover of Anvil shares increased enormously ???
Since April 14th Anvil trading on ASX has increased exponentially. Last week Anvil trading on TSX took off. Very large percentage of Total Anvil shares being moved.
Could the huge surge in turnover be the beginning of a take over move?
Perhaps now that Anvil has raised funds by a share offer (a risky one that many thought would flop) and is financially sound ---- and will be making steady and significant profits, institutions are moving in mindful of the potential of Anvil to move on over the next two years?
As Miningnut indicated the first quarterly report will be NEGATIVE! My guess is that following quarterly profits will be more than some expect.
Anvil share price has always been a factor of ACTUAL quarterly profits. If second quarter report announces Anvil is in profit mode - as opposed to very serious losses in previous quarterly reports - one might well anticipate a significant surge in share price.
My previous post suggested a gut feeling that a positive announcement is imminent. After reflecting on the situation that belief is no longer held.
We do know however that the item which will have a huge effect on Anvil's future and will be the biggest break through since Dikulushi mine take off will be the commissioning of the SXEW plant. Also we know the company is negotiating for a loan of $200 million to enable completion of this project.
The present negotiations are not certain to succeed.
The economic climate is changing, resource companies are on the way up and Anvil is financially sound and moving into profit mode at present price of copper.
These factors must be be very positive factors when the negotiations are entering a critical stage!
Whatever!
In two to three months time we will probably be aware of the outcome of the negotiations.
