    At the risk of stealing any thunder from this dusty person, let me express relief at Gillard's strong performance in the ballot today.

    I hope Rudd goes away now, that there is no challenge to Gillard until the next election [whenever that is] and that she leads the ALP to the election.

    How better to absolutely guarantee consignment to the wilderness for a long, long time than to have JG as your show piece. The caucus today preferred to give themselves an uppercut.

    Great news. I just love it. Watching the instability unfold in coming weeks will be a pleasure.
