I'm happy to see Gillard has won. Particularly, with the overwhelming support of her party. Keep in mind that Abbott ousted Turnbull by 1 vote.
Rudd was a dudd from the Labor Right who would be more at home in the Liberal Party. Hope he will slink off into oblivion and spend his $300 million and enjoy the remainder of his life doing something else.
Gillard has gained strength as Labor leader and Prime Minister by this result. This will be reflected in the polls by further upward momentum. Abbott has peaked and doubts about his leadership and ability to win in 2013 will be the next show in town.
