Brine Problems : Singapore — Australia-based Orocobre's said early Tuesday that it now expects lithium production at its operations in northwest Argentina in the 12 months to June 30, 2019 to be the same as that achieved in the previous financial year, due mainly to recent heavy rains.
This means that the company will not meet its production forecast for the current financial year. Last August, Orocobre said that it expected production in financial year 2019 to be higher than the 12,470 mt reached in financial year 2018.
