Those dollars belong to tax payers and I would like to see them go to something like below.. "Fast Track"

Mr Parker claimed advanced clean energy technologies were yet to be developed but if the government was to call for tenders and pay for the work itself the process would likely be fast-tracked.

"To meet the carbon deadlines that the Federal Government is looking for though the next power station would have to be gas but this is a short-term fix," he said.

"We think there will still be two baseload coal-fired power stations in the Valley and we would like to see them new, cleaner and under the ownership of the taxpayer."
