Teresa Carlson is the founder and leader of AWS Worldwide Public Sector, and she is one of the most accomplished and forward-thinking technology leaders in the world today. Through her charismatic leadership, Carlson has helped change mindsets of both individuals and organizations around the world, modernize policies at all levels of government, and cultivate a 21st century global workforce equipped with the skillset necessary to leverage the full potential of the cloud to drive innovation.
Carlson founded the AWS Worldwide Public Sector in 2010. Today, tens of thousands of government agencies, education institutions, and nonprofit organizations around the world use AWS. Additionally, Carlson advises Amazon Public Policy on global policy issues.
Prior to joining AWS, Carlson served as Vice President of Microsoft Federal Government, where she oversaw the company’s US Federal Government business.
Carlson earned her undergraduate and Masters of Science degrees in Communications and Speech and Language Pathology from Western Kentucky University.

Peter Moore is the Regional Managing Director for Worldwide Public Sector in Asia Pacific at Amazon Web Services. Peter leads the team in strategy, sales and business development to help government agencies, education institutions and non-profit organizations learn and implement AWS cloud computing services. He is responsible in driving both revenue and business strategy across Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, India, Korea, and Japan.
Before joining Amazon, Peter spent a number of years at Microsoft in various senior management positions. He was the General Manager at Microsoft for the public sector business across Greater China, and was instrumental in establishing and managing the Public Sector business for Asia Pacific. He also held the position of Chief Technology Officer for Microsoft Asia that focused on the technology and procurement policies of governments across the region, including the role of technology in accelerating economic development.
