Great result? Chart appears to tell a different story...

In the shorter term, we were in an uptrend since the start of 2013. However, the uptrend was broken 2 days ago as evidenced by the following chart:

If you look at the bigger picture, then it will become clear that the 2013 uptrend was really only a counter trend as part of the overall longer term downtrend that's been occurring since the middle of 2008 as evidenced by the following longer term QBE chart:

Based on the charts above, the recent move downwards appears to be simply a continuation of this longer term downtrend.

Shares don't only go up so why not learn to short sell shares so you can make money irrespective of whether a share is in an uptrend or a downtrend. If you can't beat em, join em.
