Big quarter confirmed for Independence

INDEPENDENCE Gold has achieved a strong operational performance at its Long nickel mine near Kambalda, producing 42,722t of ore grading 4.46% nickel yielding 1907t of nickel metal.
The output was 54% over budget, with the out-performance of the Gibb South shoot -with ore grading up to 22% nickel - underpinning production.
Under the acquisition agreement with WMC Resources, Independence gets 63% of production.
Independence chairman Rod Marston said the budget for the current quarter was similar to September's 1238t.
