I can vouch for the incentives being offered. Rhodes et al visited my wife and her two partners personally and begged them to sign over their cattle - some $1.2m worth. Only one of the three signed, and then only because she was offered relief via extended payment terms. My wife refused, and was subsequently contacted by a GS staffer who said "We can do anything - absolutely anything!" with regard to your loan repayments. She's a clever girl and kept contemporaneous notes of the conversation. It's nice to have evidence when you need it...
