not really virginiak, i've not studied at uni for a while now, the finance studies i done yrs ago, not picked up a textbook on HRM for probably about 6 months - have taken a break cause i'm a hopelessly pathetic student. will get there though.
must say though, i love my job, i'm one of those rare guys in the industry who totally loves paying claims, i go through those reports with a fine tooth comb sometimes, looking for any angle i can to pay the claim. i just get a real buzz out of being able to write a chq to someone who has just suffered a major loss from whatever that cause might be - to get them back on their feet again. and before you ask the obvious, yes, i have sometimes completely overturned assessor reports which recommend a decline. if I reckon I can justify it within the scope of the policy - I'll pay it! had one such claim a few weeks ago actually.
