There are quite a few from the better Sates on this thread - I was born and bred in Victoria and lived there until I moved to beautiful downtown Hervey Bay in Qld a bit more than ten years ago. Astoriaa for some reason assumed I was from Sydney: do I come across as a tosser???
Treggs' problems with pooters have struck me again as well. I've got three running XP in my office plus a laptop just doing email which runs Vista. The living room has a huuuuuge media centre pc beastie that runs the entertainment system on XP media centre edition. The missus also has a Dell laptop running XP. Well we've been away for 7 weeks and so they all (except the Vista laptop) had a bazzillion windows updates etc to install and every single one except the Vista laptop has since sh*t itself in one way or the other! Friggin microsoft ... gotta seriously think about changing to Apple!
I know how I'll be spending a big chunk of the weekend: pc mechanic extraodinaire.
