@pow4ade; thus far the big difference re deaths due to Covid infections and relative to Victoria's second wave is that federal government aged care facilities have remained relatively free of the virus and where infections have occurred residents have been vaccinated.
Deaths are however a 'trailing indicator' - some survive for a long time in ICU / while ventilated before recovering or passing away.
It's distressing to learn that some people are so fearful of authorities that their loved ones are dying at home after having had no medical assistance.
