Voltaire,
Must agree with you 100%,
I have wondered early Jan when things started to go wrong economicially whether JWH and PC knew what was coming down the pipeline and thought heyyy we are gonna lose sooner or latter, lets lose this one and they can have 1 term in govt, stuff like they normally do and whoa we will back in govt in 3 years for another 10 years. They prob thought they might lose by only 10-15 seats, but the silly NSW libs put paid to that prob cost the libs 3-4 seats.
I do differ with on calling an early election. Why?
'Cause just after K.Rudd got elected he was asked at a door stop about calling early election and pretence for going early and while I can't find the exact quote it run something like:
"Ohhh early elections look if we win the upcoming one we will govern for the full-term ie 3 years, there will no calling early election under my (Krudd) watch" I laughed so hard at the time, thinking you won't even win...so if he tries it he will get his words thrown right back at him by the other side by much glee.
Cheers
Muzza
