Why does it matter? I have listened to him for many hours, he is easy listening, and I have never heard him describe himself this way. He believes that wars should won not just negotiated as The Great War and Korean War were. Does that make him a neocon? It certainly makes him a realist.
Compare those results with the decisive outcomes in the European and Pacific spheres in WWII where combatants quickly started repairing their nations instead of plotting the next war.
