IMO these petty misnomers are nothing compared to the multimillion deals cut with pollies
where legislation is bought. This looks harmless until you consider what the game really is.
So for that reason we should have two biggies, IMO:
(a) abolish all political donations by either individuals or corporations.
Politicians get government funding per vote now and that should be enough.
Big business & big media have corrupted our democracy and its about time
we got back to basics where canditates physically canvass with door knocking
pressing flesh & via community organisations. If they haven't the time or
energy to do that, then they haven't the time or energy to represent the people IMO.
(b) Set up a National Crime & Corruption with teeth (like Qld) and set unrortable
terms & conditions of employment for all pollies.
If as citizens/electors we disapprove of either above, we are, defacto, condoning
crime & immoral behaviour by our elected reps, IMO.
