Hi,
Just trying to identify the main greedflation* beneficiaries :
- food manufacturers and supermarkets,
- insurance companies,
- electricity distributors.
Not sure what to think about these companies/sectors.
Obviously, they benefit from their price increases in the short term, even if they get lower volumes.
The question is more about their future earnings, as they face the risk of government intervention to limit their price increase in the future.
In particular for essential products and services, like food (another way to fight inflation, rather than increasing interest rates).
* sectors/companies which use the excuse of higher costs to increase prices, much more than required to recover cost increases and so, largely increase their margins, even if their volumes are decreasing.
