Gday guys. Dont sit there and compare wage increases of engineers and pilots to everyday Australians who dont have to go through constant rigourous training every year to stay current, dont have to do shift work(6 at night till 6 in the morning) yes 12 hr duties and who dont have to fork out up to if not exceeding 120000 dollars for a pilots licence and then spend 6-8 years of their careers working for less than minimum wage to get into the airline industry. Trust me you want Australian engineers and pilots working on these aircraft because when the maintainence gets sent overseas and there isn't a failure that can be contained and the aircraft crashes your share are going to go down the tubes. Yes I am a pilot in general avaition earning just above 20k a yr. Just giving you a real perpective.
