Would seriously look to doing an Arts degree starting in a few years. As more move into the stem fields there will be fewer jobs while human resource, communication etc areas will have a deficit.
The rationale used sounds great in theory until you realise that Australia already has thousands of engineers ; programmers, teachers etc who can't get jobs in their fields. It's not as if we will ever be starting up new production facilities that will take these new graduates.
