Sarkozy & Merkel are now demanding Papandreou hold his referendum asap and have said: "no more bailout funds until after the referendum". Without the 8b euros expected this month Greece will run out of money next month.
So Papandreou now has to now tell the public service and welfare recipients: "a no vote means no pay packet next week, but don't worry we will print some drachmas for you as soon as we get some more paper for the printer."
