I really wanted to start a thread to see what others think about investing in "green" related companies. This is going to be the future for everyone and we will all be affected as climate change takes a grip on our everyday lives.
So what are our alternatives to securing Australia's energy needs and or lowering our pollution emissions ???
Renewable Energy
1) Wind - IFN, WHL
2) Geothermal - GDY, TEY, GRK PAX
3) Solar - DYE, BLG
Cleaner Coal
1) WEC
2) CNX
CSG/UCG
1) AOE
2) MPO
3) BUL
4) Many more
Rare Earth Metals ( Lithium for electric cars)
1) ORE
2) GXY
There are a bunch of other "green companies" such as those in biodegradable packaging, carbon credits (through tree plantation), Solar Water Heating, Water Vapor Extractors and so on.
It's so interesting and we should all be on the bandwagon, there are many signs to back this up such as worldwide government funding. US has a $300 green package and the Australian government has similar stimulus in place such the $50 million geothermal grant rebates to end consumers for panels and so on.
Its coming, I'll bet my superannuation on it !
